Tanya Morgan consists of Donwill, Ilyas, and Von Pea. In this paticular picuture It’s only two of them in it. I took this in Brooklyn, while I was recording Push Radio. Donwill and Ilyas are from Cincinnati Ohio. Von Pea is from Brooklyn, New York. If you have not heard of them, I garuntee you will in the months to come. Yall know I’m connected, and I always keep my ears to the streets. I recently ran into my brother Music Man. A new up and coming producer, with alot of hits in store for 2010 and beyond. He happen to be at the video shoot,for Queens next superstar “South Side Po”. Po has been tearing up the streets, with numerous freestyles, and features. They actually were taping the video for the “Music Man” produced “Hush”. Featuring Brooklyn’s own Maino. When yall hear this joint! Trust me you gonna enjoy the energy of this song. I made this song in 2004. A couple months after the deal with New Line Records was done.
I got a call from these producers from some where overseas called, Get Large. They threw me on a record with Ghost Face for this project they where working on. To make long story short. They gave me a beat cd with 25 beats.
I picked two,and this was one of them. I actually free-styled this whole song off the top of my head. I recorded it in my crib on pro tools. Then we recorded it again at Power Play studio in Queens. We got great feed back. So they decide to do a video for it.
I was not pleased with the quality of the video. I felt and thought it would clear and crispy.
What i do like about it though ,is that it’s very raw. We filmed it in East New York, Brooklyn right in my old neighbor hood. This is another record that is considered a classic!
